Crooks target reopened New Forest car park

Now that the Forest's parking areas are open again, after Covid-19 restrictions were eased, the thieves are back.

A handbag has already been stolen from a car parked in the Janesmoor Car Park near Fritham in the New Forest.

New Forest Police are urging you NOT to leave anything valuable in your car.

Don't hide any valuables in the car either, because you never know who's watching you. Please take everything with you when you leave your car.

In this incident the handbag was stolen from the boot!

Crooks have already begun to target the reopened New Forest car parks.

The New Forest car parks began reopening a week ago, on 14th May, following the government's decision to ease the Covid-19 lockdown.
