An operation's been held in the area around the Culver Street car park - using uniformed and 'plain clothes' officers.

The day of action yesterday (Thursday 18th June) followed concerns raised by members of the public.

A number of people were stopped and searched throughout the operation.

One man was arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of a Class A drug.

Wiltshire Police say another man was also arrested on suspicion of possession of Class A drugs on Wednesday night (17th June).

In a post on social media, officers say it was a successful operation:

"Hopefully we've made it clear that this sort of criminality will not be tolerated in Salisbury, particularly when it has a negative impact on the local community."

They've also asked anyone who might be concerned about drug activity in the area around Culver Street car park, or see anyone acting suspiciously, to get in touch with them.
