There's no date set for when the Laura Ashley store will finally close in Salisbury, with the chain telling Spire FM it will be open 'until further notice'.

They've said 'everything has been reduced and has to go, including stock being cleared from the warehouse'.

COVID-19 SAFETY MEASURES IN PLACE

Laura Ashley has brought in social distancing procedures ready for reopening, including limiting the number of customers allowed in-store at any time and regular deep cleaning.

They're also encouraging card payments where possible.

A spokesman for Laura Ashley said:

"There are some fantastic deals to be found in-store, as everything is now reduced and, with at least 50% off fashion, we expect clothing ranges to sell out fast.  We are extremely mindful of the current Covid-19 crisis and customers can be assured that the store will be COVID secure."

It's the latest High Street name to announce it won't have a long term future in Salisbury - following the closure of Debenhams and Oasis during the pandemic.
