Crash on A338 near Breamore claims life of elderly man

The pensioner was at the wheel of a white Toyota which collided with a red Vauxhall on Friday afternoon.


The crash happened around 2.20pm yesterday (19th June) at Charford between Downton and Breamore

Fire fighters had to cut one driver free from the wreckage of the crash.

The Toyota driver, an 82 year man from Fordingbridge, suffered life threatening injuries and was taken to hospital.

Hampshire police say he sadly died..

The driver of the Vauxhall, a 30 year old man, wasn't injured.


Officers investigating the collision would like to hear from anyone who was in the Salisbury Road (A338) area  yesterday afternoon who may have seen this collision.

Police are particularly keen to hear anyone who was driving in the area who may have captured dash cam footage.
