Mandy Baggot submitted a query to be included in the daily coronavirus update, and just hours later, it was answered.

Mandy's told Spire FM that she sent in her question about travel corridors yesterday morning (Monday 22nd June).

She then got a call at around 11.00am from the Cabinet Office asking if she was happy to have her question included.

Health Secretary Matt Hancock led the Government briefing yesterday and tackled Mandy's question:

Mr Hancock responded by saying that 'a lot of work is being done on travel corridors', with a review expected to be announced on the quarantine policy on 29th June.

He also said that any decisions will be based on epidemiological advice.

She's said she's pleased to have had her query answered in the best way possible, telling Spire FM:

"I think from day one of the crisis the government have had a huge task having to deal with just about everything, as all sectors of society have come under so much pressure. I felt Matt Hancock gave those hoping to travel - whether it's for a holiday, business or to visit loved ones overseas - a little bit of hope that this is going to be possible very soon."

Mandy also took to social media after the briefing to dispel any myths that the questions submitted by the public might not be real.

She responded to people on Twitter who were convinced that the questions were fake.

Anyone is welcome to submit a question to be included in the daily coronavirus briefing, via the Gov.UK website.
