The new chief will replace Cara Charles-Barks MBE who leaves in September.

The Salisbury NHS Foundation Trust have announced that their new Chief Executive will be Stacey Hunter

Stacey started her career as a nurse in 1990 and then in 1996 she undertook Senior Nurse and Matron roles.

Following that, Stacey took on many business management positions and currently finds herself as the Executive Director of Acute Provider Collaboration for Bradford and Airedale Foundation Trusts.

She was also recently seconded to Yorkshire & Humber Nightingale Hospital as Chief Operating Officer due to the Covid-19 crisis.

Nick Marsden, Chair of the trust, said:

"We had considerable interest in the position and finding opportunities for candidates to visit the hospital has been challenging given the COVID-19 restrictions.

The final interview panel was held last Wednesday and approval from the Council of Governors was achieved yesterday evening. The panel was determined to find a candidate that would fit in and continue to drive the progress we have made here at Salisbury over the past 4 years. We are confident we have achieved that objective."

Stacey will take over the CEO role from Cara Charles-Barks, who is leaving to become Chief Exec of Royal United Hospitals Bath
