A drugs warrant was executed at a property in Imber Avenue just after 10am this morning (Wednesday 24th June).

Officers from Amesbury Neighbourhood Team, Salisbury Response, the Dog Unit and the Tasking Team carried out the warrant.

They found and seized a "large quantity" of cannabis as well as £1,300 cash, mobile phones and drugs paraphernalia

A man in his 30s was then taken to Amesbury police station for an interview for possession with intent to supply class B drugs.

Sgt Tom Ellerby said:

"With crimes like these, we rely on the public to provide us with information which helps us build a better understanding of the scale of the problem in their area so we would continue to urge residents to contact us with any concerns they may have about drug activity in their neighbourhood.

Today’s warrant has resulted in a sizeable amount of cannabis being seized preventing it from reaching vulnerable people in our communities. Drugs can have a significant impact on a community as they can often be associated with anti-social behaviour."

Police are encouraging anyone with concerns about drugs to report it by calling 101
