The branch on Butcher Row will now serve takeaway drinks.

The chain's announced that another 325 of their stores have opened up again today (Thursday 25th June).

Butcher Row's reopening follows the Amesbury drive-thru at Solstice Park, which has been operating for just over a month.

There's no confirmed date for the Old George Mall branch to reopen at this stage.

CHANGES IN STORE

Costa say they're putting in some measures within stores to help protect staff and customers:

  • The number of customers entering a store at one time will be restricted depending on store size
  • Clear floor signage will ask customers to support all social distancing guidelines when queuing both inside and outside.
  • Once inside, there will be a hand sanitiser station for customers to use and only one customer will be allowed to the counter at a time, which have been fitted with Perspex screens
  • Stores will only accept contactless payment and won't be able to accept physical Coffee Club cards - customers can still collect and redeem loyalty points using the Costa app
  • Reusable cups will be accepted in stores
