As the real event has had to be cancelled twice this year, they are doing things a little differently today (Saturday 27th June).

Live on their Facebook page, Salisbury Pride is going digital this afternoon with lots of acts booked to perform.

From noon, there will be music, drag and cabaret performances and much more throughout.

When the event was announced, Pride organiser, Caroline Corbin, told Spire FM

"We're hoping to get as many people as possible to take part and watch online on Facebook and Youtube and then hopefully they will donate, because even if they just donate a £1 and there's a lot of people watching then every bit of money will help eventually.

This event is obviously for everybody and lots of them have been cancelled and we delayed ours from June to September orginally and then when it became clear that we were going to be unable to hold it then, we decided to reschedule for next year, so it then meant we had extra time for planning and all the acts that were going to attend have agreed to do next year as well."

The event is being live streamed on facebook.com/SalisburyPrideUK with performances happening quite reguarly.

The event are taking donations throughout the day, with any money raised going towards putting on the next event.

The next physical Salisbury Pride is set to take place in May 2021
