Wiltshire Council is working with developers to build six properties at the Chalk House development.

The homes are likely to be ready for people to move in to from late Autumn.

The investment to build the homes will be recouped from the rents and income from shared ownerships from the properties.

WHAT'S BEING BUILT?

The development's set to include:

  • Two 2 bedroom shared ownership homes
  • Three 2 bedroom houses for affordable rent
  • One 3 bedroom property for affordable rent

They'll all be advertised through the Homes4Wiltshire service around 6 weeks ahead of them being completed.

Cllr Richard Clewer, Cabinet Member for Housing at Wiltshire Council, said:

"We're delighted our offer to purchase these six homes has been accepted. We are confident they will be finished to a high standard and ready for people to move in later this year.

"We're committed to building or acquiring 1,000 affordable homes throughout Wiltshire over the next 10 years, and this development will go towards meeting some of this target in the south of the county.

"We look forward to the properties being available on Homes4Wiltshire, and for Wiltshire residents to make their homes on this attractive development."
