The event had already been rescheduled due to Covid-19 but organisers have now confirmed it won't take place this year.

The man behind the respected annual event at Hudson's Field, Toby Giles, says two weeks ago he was "reasonably optimistic" it would go ahead but now feels "there is no other option in the current climate than to cancel the event until 2021."

Like many other event organisers Toby's stressed the health of those taking part and supporting Race for Men comes first,

"It it important that we protect the health and well being of our amazing participants, volunteers and community and putting on this year's event wold only put this at risk."
