Ten vehicles stopped during Amesbury speed checks

A team from Amesbury Police were out yesterday (Wednesday 1st July) in a number of locations.

While out on shift, a total of ten vehicles were stopped because of their speed in the area. 

Eight drivers were just spoken to and two were given traffic offence reports

This means they could face a speed awareness course, a fine or a court date.

Vehicles were caught in a number of locations, while officers were conducting the checks: 

  • Salisbury Road, Amesbury
  • A3026, Ludgershall
  • A338, Collingbourne Ducis
  • A338, Collingbourne Kingston

During the speed checks, they say they also saw a number of people putting themselves and other people at risk. 

As it is Seatbelt Awareness Week, anyone caught not wearing one will be fined £100.
