Simon Ward has been documenting households during lockdown as a way of supporting Julia's House children's hospice and the Stars Appeal.

Simon started up the project back in May, when much of his normal photography had been postponed and he was fitting in the pictures between shifts as a temporary Tesco delivery driver.

Two months and more than 110 families and businesses later, Simon's brought the project to a close.

The photos was taken in return for a donation, which Simon is splitting between the Stars Appeal at Salisbury District Hospital and Julia's House children's hospice.

He's volunteered as a photgrapher for both charities in recent years.

The fundraising total's now reached £3,250 - with more donations yet to be added to the JustGiving pages.

In a thank you posted to all those involved on social media, Simon has said the variety of Doorstep Snaps has been amazing:

"We photographed some significant moments including 1st birthdays, 2nd birthdays, 75th birthdays, 99th birthdays, wedding anniversaries and announcing new baby news! We photographed butchers, buses, supermarkets, radio stations, nurseries, care homes, home & giftware shops, motorcycle technicians, hair salons, firefighters, paramedics, NHS workers, forces personnel, authors, lords, ladies, a former football manager, bloggers, scientists, actors and solicitors.

"We also photographed cats and dogs (and chickens) because, lets face it, they're part of the family too! We photographed people living in flats, on farms, in terraced, semi-detached and detached houses, to country manors and mansions from Durrington, Amesbury, Bulford, Larkhill, Longhedge, Old Sarum, Steeple Langford, Farley and Sparsholt to Salisbury, Wilton, Harnham, Laverstock, Britford and Odstock (oh and not forgetting Sandbanks)!"

The Sandbanks picture that Simon mentions refers to a special photo he was able to take of Harry and Sandra Redknapp at their Dorset home.

Simon says the project means families have 'a photographic reminder of a brief moment in time that none of us will forget'.

There's still a chance to donate to the project, with JustGiving page set up for each charity involved - the details can be found on the Simon Ward Photography website.
