The furry feline has become quite popular over the last week, after Salisbury police officers based at the hospital put out an appeal to find a home for him.

Thomas was being looked after by the officers at Salisbury District Hospital, who found him in poor health, but as they were moving on they wanted to put him in good hands.

He has since been passed onto Cat Watch Wiltshire, who are doing a full health check, before he is re-homed.

Due to his poor teeth, some of which are missing, Thomas needs to have a costly operation.

It will cost £583.13 and Cat Watch Wiltshire are in desperate need of funds to be able to afford it.

Founder, Marnie Buckland told Spire FM

"I took him in to get him neutered and get his vaccinations and chip done before he goes to a new home and when he was checked out we realised he's got a couple of broken teeth and some of them that have broken off as well and the roots are still there so it's probably quite painful for him.

The vet wrote me an estimate and because of all the cats I look after, I could really use some help with that."

Due to the pandemic, Marnie has been unable to do any fundraising, so it has been a really difficult period for Cat Watch Wiltshire.

Thomas is not the only feline friend who is in need of public support.

Marnie also looks after Smokey, who desperately needs an eye operation.

This will cost the charity £456.42
