ARREST MADE

As part of their investigations, Wiltshire Police arrested a 31 year old man on suspicion of robbery following the incident.

He's since been interviewed and released on conditional bail while further enquiries are carried out.

There's now an appeal for anyone who saw what happened, or might have dashcam or CCTV footage that might be able to get in touch with police.

Detective Constable Hannah Milburn said:

"This was a violent incident which has left a man with a serious head injury. While we have made an arrest, we are keen to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time of the incident who may have seen or heard anything suspicious. As well as this we'd be interested in hearing from anyone who was driving in the area who may have dash cam footage or anyone with CCTV which could help our investigation."
