Wiltshire Creative have also announced a take away cafe will open at the city venue plus there'll be an outdoor film screening at Trafalgar House near Downton.

On Saturday 8 August, Dorset-based Gobbledegook Theatre will present their show Cloudscapes in the grounds of the Arts Centre.

Audiences will lie back on large beanbags and listen to a specially-recorded audio show through headphones while gazing at the sky, before visiting the Cloud Museum in a converted vintage horse box.

This unique experience will be presented at several times during the day, with Gobbledegook and Wiltshire Creative working together to ensure audiences have a safe and enjoyable visit.

Tickets for Cloudscapes are FREE but must be booked in advance via the Wiltshire Creative website.

Meanwhile a take away cafe will operate at the city's Arts Centre during August

It'll operate from Tuesday to Friday between 11am and 3pm and on Saturday's between 10am and 4pm.

A one-way system, cashless sales and increased cleaning will be in place to ensure a safe environment for visitors and staff.

Gareth Machin, Artistic Director of Wiltshire Creative, said:

"After months of our venues being completely closed, we are delighted to be making the small, but important, step of offering a take away café service and family activities at Salisbury Arts Centre over the summer. We can't wait to see some of our friends, customers and supporters again and are delighted to be playing our part in making Salisbury an enjoyable and safe place to visit."
"We are also excited to welcome Gobbledegook Theatre to Salisbury for our first outdoor, socially-distanced show."

On Saturday 29 August, Wiltshire Creative will present a special outdoor screening of the Oscar-winning romantic comedy Shakespeare in Love, starring Gwyneth Paltrow, Joseph Fiennes and Judi Dench, in the grounds of Trafalgar Park near Downton

This one-off event, raising funds to enable Wiltshire Creative to continue its wide-ranging work, will be held adhering to government guidelines for social distancing.

Tickets and further details will be available soon.

Due to government restrictions, both Salisbury Arts Centre and Salisbury Playhouse remain closed for live performances for the time being which Wiltshire Creative has described as 'a huge financial strain '
