Police are asking for witnesses to come forward if they saw two men in a manhole outside Bookers in Netherhampton Road earlier this month.

Officers tell us two men were seen carrying out work on the drive leading up to the cash and carry at around 1.00pm on Saturday 18th July.

They're described as:

    • White
    • Slim build
    • Both wearing white t-shirts
    • One thought to be wearing a hi-viz jacket

Staff at Bookers reported the phone lines were down in the store around the same time and it was later found that cables had been cut within the manhole where the men had been seen.

ARRESTS MADE

Police arrested two men shortly after the incident on suspicion of conspiracy to commit burglary.

They've since been bailed pending further investigation.

There's now an appeal for any of the store's customers around that time who might have seen what happened to come forward, especially if you've got dashcam footage.

You can get in touch with Wiltshire Police on 101, quoting crime reference number 54200070656.

If you'd rather report any information anonymously, you can call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
