Phantom of the Opera to return to Mayflower

The musical will have a four week run in 2021.

After eight long year the world famous show makes it's return to the Southampton theatre.

The production by Andrew Lloyd Webber and Cameron Mackintosh is now in its 34th year and is one of the most successful musicals in entertainment history playing to over 145 million people in 41 countries.

It's won more than 70 major theatre awards,including seven Tony Awards and four Olivier Awards.

It includes scores such as Music of the Night, All I Ask of You, Masquerade and the iconic title song.


The National tour will come to The Mayflower from Wednesday 24 February - Saturday 20 March 2021.

The Phamtom of The Opera tells the tale of a disfigured musical genius known only as 'The Phantom' who haunts the depths of the Paris Opera House. 

Mesmerised by the talents and beauty of a young soprano - Christine, the Phantom lures her as his protégé and falls fiercely in love with her. 

Unaware of Christine's love for Raoul, the Phantom's obsession sets the scene for a dramatic turn of events where jealousy, madness and passions collide.
