The band announced that due to health and safety concerns, their whole tour will not be going ahead.

Little Mix have cancelled their gig at Southampton's Ageas Bowl and other dates on their summer tour due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The X Factor winners were due to perform at cricket ground on Thursday 2nd July

It would have been the second time the group behind hits like 'Shout Out To My Ex' would have appeared there - they performed a show at the same venue in 2017.

In a statement posted to the group's social media feeds on Wednesday, Little Mix said the move was taken to protect the health of fans and crew:

Those who have bought tickets for the events are being asked to contact the original seller to sort out refunds.

People are set to receive emails from their ticketing agents, and are urged not to contact them directly unless they have not heard anything by May 5th.

In all, the group have been forced to cancel more than 20 gigs across the UK.

Little Mix are one of many acts, including The Who, Harry Styles and Miley Cyrus, forced to postpone or cancel tours due to the outbreak.

The group formed in 2011 during the eighth series of The X Factor.

They have sold more than 50m records worldwide, collected more than 17m Spotify listeners, received more than three billion YouTube views, and collated 12bn streams worldwide.
