The Wiltshire safari park was aiming to have its first ever music and food festival this summer, but it's had to be postponed.

The event's the latest to fall victim to the Covid-19 outbreak and now won't go ahead on the 4th and 5th July 2020.

A new date's already been set though, with Longleat Live now planned for Saturday 17th and Sunday 18th July 2021.

There's also good news for those looking forward to the line-up that everyone who had been booked to be there will appear at next year's event.

WHAT IS LONGLEAT LIVE?

'The Festival with Bite' as it's being described will bring together live music with cookery demonstrations.

The headliners are set to be indie acts The Wombats and Razorlight with support acts performing too, including Ella Eyre and The X Factor's Lucy Spraggan amongst others.

For the food lovers, Longleat's own Viscountess, Emma Weymouth will be joined by the Hairy Bikers and James Martin.

Food stalls and even a funfair are planned for the weekend too.

During the festival, visitors will also be able to enjoy Longleat's many other attractions including the world famous Safari Park as well as the other park attractions, including Koala Creek, giant hedge maze, miniature railway and Adventure Castle.

The festival will raise funds for the African wildlife charity Tusk and the International Koala Centre of Excellence (IKCE).
