There were plenty of goals yesterday (Saturday 8th December), with four football teams scoring four or more goals.

Salisbury FC had a tumultous game against Wimborne Town.

The Whites started off well, going 4-0 within the first 50 minutes with goals from Whelan, Hopper, Haysham and Patridge.

It looked like a sure win until the 67th minute when Wimborne pulled back their first goal and proceeded to score another 2 within less than 30 minutes.

As the whistle blew, Salisbury were lucky to come way with 3 points after a last push by the away side.

Bemerton Heath Harlequins are now firmly out of the relegation zone with a 5-0 win over Lymington Town.

Jordan Matthews scored a hat trick for the Harlequins, pushing them up to 15th in the league.

It was goals galore for Amesbury Town at home as well.

They welcome Petersfield Town to the Rec and put five goals past their keeper, only conceding 2.

They still sit at the top of the league table, 2 points above second.

Downton welcomed East Cowes Victoria to Wick Lane, and got their fourth win a row.

They scored four goals against the Isle of Wight side, who ended the game with 9 players.

Laverstock and Ford are now into the Semi Final of the Wiltshire Senior Cup.

They played against Cricklade Town away from home.

After a tough bout, they finished the 90 minutes 2-1 up.

Salisbury RFC are down to 10th in the Wadworth 6X South West 1 East League after a loss to Newbury Blues.

The final score of that game was 57-17.
