Mixed bag of results for local footy sides

Three wins and two losses yesterday (22nd December) in the last games before Christmas.

Salisbury FC got off to a cracking start at the Ray Mac.

They went two goals up in the first half against Beaconsfied Town.

Their opponents got one back in the 93rd minute but couldn't knock another one in for a point.

Amesbury Town retain their top spot in the Wessex League Division One with three points yesterday.

They beat Ringwood Town 3-0 with goals from Jordon Matthews, Joey Weeks and Luke Greenaway.

They now sit two points clear at the top.

It was a hectic one for Laverstock and Ford this weekend.

They played Andover Town and the Lavvy side ramped up the drama during the game.

Their keeper was sent off after 20 minutes and they were one nil down at 55 minutes.

Fast forward another forty minutes and they won the game 2-1 after two penalties were given and scored by Adam Bourner!

Not so much luck for Bemerton Heath Harlequins against Tadley Calleva.

They Harlequins were looking for a third straight win but lost 2-0 to their opponents.

Downton were also unfortunate - they played Romsey Town and lost 3-0.
