Pre-season training gets underway for the Whites this weekend, with some new faces added to the squad for the new campaign.

Steve Claridge will start putting his players through their paces - probably starting with his old faithful technique - running, lots of running to build the fitness and stamina.

There's some familiar names within the squad for this year, and a couple that have signed up since the last season abruptly ended due to Covid-19.

Here's the Ray Mac squad so far (in alphabetical order):

  • Harry Baker
  • Jack Ball
  • Marcus Beauchamp
  • Warren Bentley
  • Lewis Benson
  • Charlie Davis
  • Antonio Diaz
  • Dan Fitchett
  • Dominic Jefferies
  • Charlie Kennedy
  • Ollie Knowles
  • Darren Mullings
  • Sam Roberts
  • Josh Sommerton
  • Elliot Wheeler

Salisbury FC fans will notice that a couple of the names in the list above are new additions.

Dominic Jefferies will be recognisable as the 18 year old midfielder has a spell with the Whites at the end of last season.

He joins the team from Newport County (IOW).

Charlie Kennedy is another new signing, arriving from Gosport Borough.

The 23 year old central midfielder has also played for Barnet and Basingstoke Town in his career so far.

His signing is still subject to final FA approval.

Centre back Jack Ball has been signed for the Whites too.

He's arrived from Hartley Wintney, having also played in the US - his versatility also means he can play up front.

Steve Claridge has also confirmed that he's in negotiations for two more players for the side.

No start date for the 2020/21 Southern Premier League South season have been arranged as yet.
